Ghana Christian Council UK hold Ghana at 61 thanksgiving service in London

Ghana Christian Council UK and Ireland chaired by Rev Canon Dr Shadrach Ofosuware organised a non-denominational thanksgiving service in London as part of Ghana’s 61st independence anniversary celebration.

The well attended service held at the Westminster Central Hall was themed “Building a United Ghana Through Christ”. The guest speaker for the event was Most Rev. Titus K. Awotwi Pratt, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana.

In his address His Excellency Papa Owusu-Ankomah paid tribute to all, whose sacrifice helped Ghana attain its independence. He reminded all of the president’s call for a Ghana beyond aid, charging  Ghanaians in the diaspora to join forces to invest their resources and expertise back home to assist with the development of Ghana.
